Team Gold at Vale of Leven 10k

The final Polariod race of the series proved to be succesful as the Scottish Athletics 10k Road Race Champioship Gold Team medal made its way back to Cambuslang with Steve,Robert & Kerry all commanding top 15 places in the race to secure the title ahead of City of Edinburgh AC.

Kirkcudbright Half Marathon

John MacNamara & Kerry Wilson travelled down to the Dumfrieshire town for their 24th running of the Half Marathon.Kerry (last years winner) struggled to retain the trophy as an English runner came close to the Mens record with a outstanding time of 66:23.Kerry claimed a new PB of 72:08 but could only take 6th place.John wasnt to far behind in 8th place recording 74:29.The weather was warm with a good stiff breeze for most of the race.276 runners toed the line.

Wylie battles for Kilmarnock 10k title

Steve Wylie & Robert Gilroy had a right ding-dong battle for 1st place last night @ the Kilmarnock 10k road race resulting in Steve taking 1st place in 31:00 giving the onlookers a sprint finish  with Robert just 3 secs behind.The duo were neck & neck from the start of the race & were followed  by Kerry Wilson(last years winner) who turned in a new PB taking 3rd spot in 32:18.John MacNamara made up the winning team along with Robert & Kerry by taking 5th place in 33:38. Damp drizzly conditions greeted the 114 runners who turned up.

Kerry wins Ormidale 10k Isle of Arran

Kerry Wilson travelled over to Arran for the annual 10k road race & came away with top prize in a field of only 42 runners.Kerry led from start to finish & was rarely threatened as he came in 1:41 ahead of George Irving of Irvine AC with a time of 33:01.Kerry running his 4 race in 8 days  felt heavy legged after halfway but surprisingly ran the 2nd half of the course faster.It was a mild day on the island with 1 small shower during the race & a wee breeze on way back to the start.
